Wireless networks have a unique name called the SSID, most routers broadcast this thus allowing crackers to access your network. This article will show you how to hide this :
- Access your routers control panel. Read the manual if unsure.
- Select 'Home Network' or similar option.
- Select 'WLAN' or similar option and click on 'configure' or similar.
- Untick 'broadcast network name' or similar.
- Click on 'Apply' or similar.
- Close browser or tab with control panel.
WARNING
Never do this without making a note of your Networks SSID. Otherwise it can be a painful hassle finding it.
THINGS YOU'LL NEED

- Computer connected to wireless router via Ethernet or WI Fi.
